Young Folks - Paella for lunch and scoop back body.

A quiet couple of days in the Covet house, busy though with nothing exceptional. Work, drinks with the girls and then waiting for my boyfriend to return from his work trip. Fortunately he's managed to sneak home today so I'm currently passing time waiting for him and pizza to arrive! Therefore, blogpost.
Now yesterday I noticed something I've been wanting for ages pop up on the Topshop website, a plain black t-shirt jersey maxi dress in black. I almost ordered on the spot but was unsure of sizing as I wasn't 100% set on it looking flattering on me (5'4"!!) baggy. It just so happens that I got the bus to work yesterday and when I do so I walk through Primark to get into the shopping centre and eventually to work. As I walked through I stumbled upon, guess what, a plain black t-shirt maxi dress. I snapped it up. When I got home and tried it on I did consider taking it back and getting a big size to have it baggy but really, would I wear it like that? I also already have a floaty strappy black maxi in crepe so this being a slightly more fitted look is perfect really. It also looks really nice pulled up into a midi length with a belt, double bonus!
I also picked up a skirt I plan on wearing during the summer, particularly when I'm lounging on a Spanish beach. It's a navy skater shirt with little white hearts on it, very cute. It came with a belt which I'm not keen on but for £6 it's super cute!
I also received a Missguided delivery today, they were offering free next day delivery and yesterday on their site appeared the body of my dreams! I know I bought one the other day but you know the AA double u body I've been pining after, this is it! Eeek, I could've known as soon as I bought an alternative they'd get exactly what I wanted. AA style for less than half the price!
I snapped up both the black and the white. I tried them on when I got in from work and they're perfect, although they don't have poppers on the knicker part, the confused me as I assumed they all did. I love them but they'll be a task on a night out!
I also had a cheeky M&S fuller for longer paella yesterday. To be honest it wasn't bad but I wasn't too impressed, it looks a treat on the plate though! I also ate M&S Percy pig and pals, cute!

Born Slippy - H&M leather trousers and leopard print blazer.

This is what I'm wearing today!
I've pulled on my (faux) leather trousers by H&M. I bought them a while ago but I think they still sell them. They were one of those purchases where I was umming and ahhing over them thinking I love them but am I brave enough?! I tried them on and as soon as that happened I knew they just had to be mine! If you've ever thought of buying pu or leather trousers I'd say go for it, unless you're 50!
Along with these I've put on my scoop back body, I think I'll get the white version too. I adore it and am still in utter disbelief at the crazy low price!
On top I fear I may be a little chilly as I've put on a cheeky coloured leopard print number, a woollen blazer type jacket I bought in from River Island a while ago. It's a beauty, I remember going into River Island solely for the purpose of staring at this coat when one day I just bit the bullet and pulled out the plastic!
Today I am indulging in a spot of lunch and coffee with an old school chum followed by a quick change and 3.5 hours of work!
Ooh I almost forgot to mention my shoes choice today! Pom Pom velvet slippers! I fell in love with these a year or so ago when they appeared on the Topshop website. They are still in somewhat pristine condition as British weather means I am barely able to wear them! They're a beautiful maroon colour with a cheeky black Pom Pom on the top, amazing!

Warning Sign - H&M monochrome trousers and scoop back body.

A quick post on what I wore today, after work to be precise.
I slipped into my brand spanking new body I purchased from Primark yesterday, it is tremendous and will most certainly be preventing an American Apparel splurge, at least for now! I paired this with my monochrome trousers I blogged about a while ago, they are a sweet pair of trews! Along with this I popped on my Topshop psychic2 boots. These are the most expensive shoes I think I own at the moment, I've had them for a while and tend to limit them to a going it shoe but felt they needed to see the light of day for once!
Then I ate pain au chocolate and watched Hocus Pocus.

Colourblind - My bath time routine.

I figured that, as I'm doing very little tonight and have just stepped out of a truly indulgent bubble bath, I'd spend a hot minute discussing my bath time routine.
As showers have become a more common occurrence I like to make a bath something of a luxury, an extravaganza of products and bubbles. This post was also prompted by the fact that I have tend to always run out of products at around this time and I've done a lot of SKINCARE spending of late!
Here goes...
If I'm not using too many products in the bath or I'm just lounging in the bath on a more extravagant, drinking red wine with a face mask on surrounded by candles and listening to Bon Iver kind of bath, I tend to use Radox bath therapy to set the bubble filled scene. I do occasionally deviate, usually when extra hungover or in need of serious relaxation, to using Sanctuary Spa bath float instead but this is not quite so frequent!
If my bath involved preening and pampering rather than just relaxing I opt for a severe lack of bubbles and add nothing!
I will be discussing this kind of bath.
So when I'm in the bath and the music is on, music is ALWAYS on when in the bath, that's a rule, I start by removing my makeup. I will have already brushed my teeth, this is done before the bath obviously. I remove everything I can with a face wipe. I have really sensitive skin and after trying too many brands to mention I kept breaking out when. Suddenly I was greeted with this almighty hallelujah in the form of the super cheap 57p for a pack of 20 Wilkinsons face wipes. They changed my life! Well almost anyway. I tend to have a lot of mascara left after this so I use a Simple eye makeup remover to get rid of that.
After this I apply the Soap & Glory face soap and Lush popcorn lip scrub to my lips and leave those for a few minutes then rinse off.
I then use whichever scrub I've chosen at the time, I tend to use Pulp Friction by Soap & Glory or the Sanctuary Scrub on a whatever I pick up first basis and the Sugar Crush when going out. After this I use Sanctuary body wash. I've also included the shower gels I use when showering instead as I tend to use the same products with this exception whether in the bath or shower.
At this point I hop out of the bath, apply Simple Derma moisturiser or Simple hydrating moisturiser to my face and L'Oreal Revitalift to my neck. After I've done this I body brush! I've only recently started doing this but I'm hoping that the more often I do it I really will start seeing good results!
Then I use a body butter. The Righteous Butter by Soap & Glory is my usual product of choice but if I'm going out or if I fancy a change I use the Sanctuary body butter or the 24 hour moisturiser. If I am going out I'll apply Lush lustre dust over that for a bit of leg sparkle!
I then use a hand cream, usually the Hand Food then sometimes a foot cream. As a finishing touch I use a body mist!
That's about it, now I know why people think I'm high maintenance!

Country House - Print playsuit with Topshop gold heel boots.

Today I indulged in a lovely little morning in bed, unfortunately my body clock had me awake at 6:30am so no real lie in, just a lie in bed!
After this I motivated myself to get up and out, I had a few things to return, a bikini top I posted earlier that I needed to get in a smaller size and two ASOS parcels. I returned the hideous crop top I had delivered this weekend along with the smock I've shown on here a few times. Now I've worn it a couple of times but the other day, just after my last post on it actually, I noticed a hole had developed in the back. Luckily I had kept the delivery note so I emailed them. And they told me to send it back! It's out of stock now so I'll need to find a replacement!
For this I decided to wear a playsuit that doesn't see the light of day often. It was an impulse purchase from Triple S, a geometric print playsuit in warm tones of rust and navy. It's pretty cute and I really like it. I'd prefer if the short wasn't as bulky though, there's a whole lot of material right there!
With this I wore thick tights, my navy crombie and my gold heeled boots. Cute!
While in town swapping the bikini, I found a few little steals on my trek.
I bought a body from Primark, which for some reason I didn't photograph but whatever, it's similar to the American Apparel double u body. I'm yet to try it on but for £5 even if it's rubbish one wear would be good. It has a scoop back so I hope it's good as it'll stop me splashing out on the AA number!
As well as this I bought a black pencil skirt, it's just a thick kind of jersey fabric, I tries it on and it's perfect, just what I wanted and I can dress it up and down.
I also found some Rayban-esque leopard/tortoise shell looking sunglasses for £1, sleek! I also got a black faux leather studded make up bag, I needed one that was slightly bigger than the one I'm using currently and this is cute and perfectly sized for my requirements! Along with this I got a pair of frill socks! I own quite a few Topshop pairs and find the lace separates from the sock so easily they're overpriced for the quality. I'd noticed a few bloggers talking about these dupes and my local Primark finally had them! I just got white as I figured white is cute but the grey were a bit too cheap looking for my liking!
Then I just picked up some BioOil which I cannot believe they sell in Primark but I am so pleased, girls with dry skin take note! I'm so excited to use it and hear its good for dry skin so I'll definitely talk about this in future.
I also got one of those new compressed Sure deodorants, I am ready to put it to the test!

Major Minus - ASOS batwing sleeve dress and orange wedges.

So after work yesterday I went out for some drinks with my ladies. Nothing messy, just a bottle of red wine while snacking on bread and olives and nattering away!
I decided to go without tights, this is becoming a popular choice for me of late although I'm not quite sure why as its positively freezing around here!
Along with the tight free legs I opted for the black batwing dress I bought from ASOS some time ago, it's a beautiful dress and I think I've discussed that I almost wore it for New Year but the bruises all over my poor legs prevented me. Anyway, rather than wear it as the huge smock dress it is for some reason I felt more comfortable last night with a belt thrown around it. I used my trusty, cheap old gold adorned waist number to creat a kind of big 80s vibe to it.
To add to the retro Dallas-esque poofyness I went for a big gold leaf style necklace I got from H&M a while ago. In fact the reason I bought that necklace was because I figured it would look good as a hair accessory.
Along with this I put on a pair of bright orange wedges to add a tantalising pop of colour, they're exactly the same as my trusty black wedges I just seem to wear this far less due to the vibrate hue!
Oh and I don't know why I'm up so early on my day off, eek woe to sleepy Danielle!
