I have returned! I'm back from the most serene few days away with my boyfriend. We stayed in the Loch Shuna Lodges in Craobh Haven in the Southern Highlands of Scotland. The setting of our little getaway was an island connected to the main Craobh Haven by a permanent kind of causeway situation, I think the isle we were on was Eileen Buidhe, this was only discovered after a foray of Internet searches and last minute location panic!
It was beautiful, completely tranquil and the perfect relaxing break. Despite the initial hiccup of being told to pick up our keys from the owner at the main house, when we turned up he was ot there. We did manage to discover that the door was open and just let ourselves in. We quickly unpacked and headed straight for our hot tub, this was promptly followed by the owner trawling up the gravel path in the darkness to greet us, realise how awkward it was and tell us he'd see us later. Strange but this is just how it goes in these quiet little holiday villages!
After that everything went swimmingly, we spent most of our time in our lodge and enjoying the private hot tub and sauna and our weekend was unspoilt by the poor weather.
Now for photos...
