I was at work during the day so my boyfriend picked me up and we went for a meal about favourite Italian restaurant. To start I had the duck breast with mushrooms, he had the mussels in white wine and garlic. For our mains I went for sea bass on a bed of roast vegetables and he chose a rare steak with chips. For desert we both chose a banana toffee dessert, delicious! He wasn't feeling very well so we made it a sober one but it was most definitely perfection!
It was very strange being in a restaurant that is usually so loud filled with group and birthdays and all kinds of background noise but was last night transformed into a tranquil, romantic haven. The decor was beautiful, lanterns with tea lights all over the ceiling along with heart shaped balloons on every table. The romantic music goes without saying!
After this we just ventured back to his house and had a lovely evening watching movies! Delicious!
My boyfriend got me the loveliest bunch of deep red roses, my first ever gift of flowers and I loved it, along with a heart shaped box of chocolates and the sweetest card where he'd written some of our lovely lines used when wooing each other many moons ago. I am a well and truly spoilt lady.
Today I had breakfast in bed made for me, white chocolate and maple pancakes with heart shaped waffles! Then after a little nap we ventured to Ikea, I needed a vase for my roses!
I bought a few items here, the vase which was only £1.50, two large wine glasses that I adore at only £1.40 each and a glass mug at only £1. Along with these I bought a candle holder, it was only maybe £2.50 or so and some apple scented tea lights to use in it. My boyfriend also bought us some little cactus plants! All of this came to just under £14, I forget how good Ikea is!
Last night I wore an embellished collar velvet dress I've had for some time, then today I went for a wine red lace skater dress I bought from Missguided some time ago!
