It seems a bit of a weird post for me but as I'm not doing much until tonight and have time on my hands aplenty after being woken up by a very early work alarm by my boyfriend and staying up to get tickets for Fleetwood Mac. So here it is.
Today I have literally only popped out for a matter of minutes and I carried with me a very large bag, this is the usual for me as I rarely carry a clutch or anything of that nature unless I'm going out with the girls because I tend to get stuck with all of my boyfriends stuff. The addition of car keys, a wallet and another iPhone tends to necessitate a very large bag at all times.
So today I had with me the staples, these are the things I carry with me every single day and they do not change, regardless of bag size. Starting with my phone clutch, this is the plum coloured croc faux leather number on the end, I got it from my brother and sister as part of my birthday present last year and it's stayed by my side ever since. It's adorable and has one side for my phone and the other can fit cards and a bit of change in. I rarely use this side as I usually only have my phone in it and carry my purse separately but it is perfect for the occasional clutch bag use!
Next up is my gigantic purse, my mam got it as a treat for me so long ago but I adore it, it's become a little weathered now with daily use but it's perfect, big enough to fit all of my cards in and with a zip change pocket, perfect for me.
Along with these I always carry a pen, recently it's been this jazzy little zebra patterned number! Then I have a compact mirror, it goes without explanation as every girl needs this in her bag. Then I have my Chapstick, yes it is cherry, how typical and Katy Perry-esque of me! Along with these staples I also have my hand cream with me, I admit I change between this Palmers Cocoa Butter hand cream and Soap & Glory hand food but generally this is a better fit for most of my bags so this is the one I bring out into the world.
I also always have chewing gum, again no explanation required.
I also had with me a few things I only carry when I have a large bag. The first being the velvet berry lip balm. While I always carry Chapstick with me I like to bring a lip balm when I can, this one I acquired from H&M quite recently and the smell is absolutely divine I could not resist. It also has a bit of sparkle to it which I like too. I also like to bring with me Nurofen as I tend to get random migraines and they need to be tackled immediately so when the tablets fit, they come. I wore lipstick today also so I had with me my trusty dark red lipstick by No7. A bottle of perfume always sweetens up the day and today I have on my Boss Nuit so this came with me. Finally, I carried a little Graze snack, I like to bring a little something to eat and as I received my box yesterday a little salsa fresca was required.
This is what I carried in my bag today but if I was spending substantial time out I'd also have my iPad and my Lush popcorn lip scrub and often I'd have a little makeup bag just to top up if I'm out and my face is awry.
