Blue Orchid - A little extra on last nights clashing sparkles.

I felt as I hadn't really discussed much about the items I wore last night I needed to follow on with a little more detail.
Overall I adore the items but they both had their positives and negatives.
I found with the sequin t-shirt that as much as I love it it gets mighty uncomfortable, it's the underarm area really, the sequins are somewhat scratchy and it's not a pleasant sensation. I also find that sequinned items are usually quite heavy but this is not the case with this, as it's so light the oversized nature of the item I can imagine would be very unflattering if not worn to its advantage. These negatives are totally outweighed by how beautiful it is though! I also think the little keyhole detail at the back is very sweet!
The skirt on the other hand, I'm sure I mentioned my issues with the fit and my dislike of the zips when I bought it, is mainly positive. I absolute love the pattern on the gold and the general feel and look of the material is fantastic, my only other issue is with the back of the skirt.
This, as can be seen in the photograph, is the elastic band at the back. It's probably necessary because of the structure of the skirt, the boxy shape making it not very friendly toward the hips. I imagine that without this elastic the skirt would probably gape at the back but I just feel the skirt would look far better without it. It shouldn't cause me that much of a problem though as I'll always be wearing the skirt with a top over or an oversized shirt tucked in which would mean that area is mostly covered!
