OOTD!!!!
Today I indulged in another away from work day of lying in bed. This was all halted at 2pm to shower and get ready to meet my boyfriend in Newcastle when he finished work for food and shopping.
Not my sort of exciting shopping, we were just browsing for some cheap pillows and cushions to craft a sort of den in our lodge next weekend.
I arrived slightly earlier as I had a couple of things to return and despite browsing last every clothing shop in Newcastle I found nothing I was really interested in!
I did manage a trip to the Yankee Doodle American candy store and picked myself up a few sweet treats, Milka with Oreo, Chips Ahoy Reeses cookies which are both pictured and also Cheetos and Hershey's Kingsize Drops on Cookies n Cream which I gave to my boyfriend for work today!
I also ended up wandering into HMV with Glen to seek out some weird alternative films for our break but ended up buying Matilda, I haven't seen this in sooooo long and it just reminds me of being little so I think I'll spend my Friday watching Matilda and eating all of yesterday's cookies and chocolate!
As much as we were perusing for comfy home items we ended up just wandering into Primark, realising that we can just take stuff from our homes and not really getting much. We did decide to get some blankets though, a leopard print one as chosen by my leopard print hating boyfriend in some sort of strange mocking way! I also stumbled upon a cushion with a pug print! I adore pugs and cannot wait until I have my own place so I can actually get one for myself, they are just so cute!

Anyway, outfit wise I chose again my Dr Marten boots, there is still snow lying on the ground and so they are really my only option. With those I went for my Topshop black crochet lace skater dress, I bought this ages ago and wore it for my boyfriends birthday in October, I did notice it went in the sale around Christmas and there may still be some available as I saw one in the Newcastle branch yesterday. I love this dress particularly the detail on the sleeves, like a 3/4 length bell detail. I like how it can be dressed both up and down as it went really well with the bulky boots! With this I wore my tartan scarf from Urban Outfitters with my Next crombie coat and my Urban Outfitters Deena & Ozzy croc doctors bag. Beautiful! And not a bad word to say about any of these!

A quick mention on where we ate, we had originally thought Nandos but I suggested La Tasca, it was such a good idea. We hadn't been for a while and I forget how good it is. We ordered the flat bread to share as a starter and it was delicious, huge too, I was almost full from just that! Then we got tapas to share, we went for the champiƱones (mushrooms) in a garlic and olive oil, wow! Then we chose the albondigas meatballs, the gambas al ajillo (garlic butterfly prawns), the tortilla espaƱola (Spanish omelette) along with the mini hamburgers. All were delicious, my boyfriend ate most of the tortilla as I found I was too full from the bread to eat potato! The burgers were a highlight, so cute and really tasty with a sweet onion relish that was to die for. I wish I had taken pictures as it was all beautifully presented too but I just got carried away eating immediately as it was served to our table! Anyway, I recommend to all!
