Admittedly I was pretty sensible and most certainly did not go wild. There was a certain item I had been considering buying my boyfriend for Valentines day. Valentines is not normally an event I indulge in, as a couple we haven't done anything for it the last 3 years but I've always kind of wanted him to surprise me. Unfortunately he's not psychic so I had to make it clear to him on February 15th last year that no activity is not okay! Typical girl behaviour! He keeps asking if I am off work on the 14th and 15th so I think he has a little something in store! Anyway he had been talking about wanting a certain item that I will not mention on the off chance that he is for some reason reading the blogs of clothes obsessed ladies in their early twenties and somehow stumbles upon this but anyway, I got him his valentines gift and because I ended up getting my student discount I figured I may as well treat myself!
I'm a constant prowler of ASOS but don't purchase as often as I'd like, usually as I'm such an impulse buyer and I hate the online wait. Anyway, I'd been browsing this smock dress every time I went online and yesterday I bit the bullet and pressed buy! It's the ASOS smock dress in textured marl. It looks gorgeous on the photos and I love a smock dress with chunky boots and bare legs, I'm also jaunting to España with my boyfriend in the spring so figured it'd be a good dress for the day we venture to Barcelona! It's a smock dress in every sense of the word, big, floaty and beautiful, I just hope the oversized nature is flattering in this!
Then I bought something else I'd been dabbling with for such a long time, ideally I would have liked this as a body but for now the top will do. It's the ASOS off the shoulder top. It's black and is completely off the shoulder, like a long sleeved version of the Sandy from Grease top. I really hope it's nice, it looks good and I'm just hoping that a strapless bra doesn't create a weird shape!
