I went out tonight to grab a couple of cocktails with the ladies, I'm a sucker for a rum based fruity little treat.
Again it's freezing but we decided to get dressed up for the occasion. I decided to go for my only worn once before LOVE wrap dress, inlovewithfashion if we're being precise. I bought this a while go after seeing it on a variety of celebrities and just generally all over cyberspace. It really reminds me if the Motel Jet playsuit I have in black too.
Anyway, I really like this wrap dress despite it being somewhat risqué, even on a teeny 5ft4" lady like myself it's very short and very low cut!
As for the colour it's described as oxblood I believe and personally I wouldn't say this is quite accurate. As you'll see from the photos it's kind of a more brick red shade I'd say, I like it though as oxblood is all over this place and this is that little bit different. Style wise it's very flattering being a wrap dress but with regard to the sizing I find it quite big. I got the s/m which is described as an 8/10 but I think it'd fit a 12 for sure.
The sleeves are a good length and not too loose which is often a problem in this style of dress.
Overall a great buy and an absolute steal just beware that Dutch courage may be required when planning on wearing this as it is very revealing.
With this dress I just wore my plain strappy black suede look wedges I purchased from New Look so long ago I don't even remember. I haven't worn these in so long but they're my go to shoes for the combination of height and comfort. I do get a bit swishy in them after a few drinks though!
Along with these I went for minimal jewellery, an attempt not to draw any extra attention to the chest with some sort of statement necklace, I just wore this cute filigree ring I bought from Topshop some time ago.
Photo time...
